#WeSeeUs and Trans Day of Visibility

Visibility without structural and economic support hasn’t met the needs of our community. We need a new understanding of visibility: one that centers the positive work that trans people do for each other to secure the support and resources we need to survive and thrive.

We See Us redefines trans visibility as the acknowledgement and support given by trans people to trans people, because being seen and supported by other trans people is what’s vital to our survival and our ability to flourish.

This campaign is a way for trans people to reflect on the ways we support each other when we truly see each other, irrespective of visual sight.

We See Us is a recognition of the positive work trans people do for each other.
